The College of Earth, Life, and Health Sciences seeks a detail-oriented individual to oversee the finances, reporting, and operations of a long-term agreement between the University of Maine and the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service, titled “Finding Solutions to Reduce the Impact of Synthetic Organofluorine Compounds on Agriculture and Food Systems”. This agreement, with an annual multi-million-dollar budget, supports dozens of research projects alongside central services that provide common resources for those projects. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the finances, including procurement, personnel forms, annual budgeting, and cost share. In addition, the candidate will assist with the administration of projects, including building the portfolio of research on an annual basis, reporting, coordinating meetings and workshops, and supporting periodic conferences. This position will report to the dean and will work closely with other colleges and university departments to meet reporting, compliance, administrative, and financial needs. Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $60,000 to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
