JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for an up and coming Finance and Operations Manager to join a cutting-edge VC-backed tech startup. This individual will support the COO across finance, operations, and HR functions, including financial modeling, reporting, payroll, recruiting operations, and process improvement. This is a great opportunity for someone 1-2 years out of school or a recent MBA who is looking for startup experience and to grow with a high-impact, focused team! The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with long-term leadership goals and a passion for solving complex problems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with the COO to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly financial close
  • Maintain financial records, contracts, and legal documentation
  • Assist with employee onboarding, compliance, and recruiting operations
  • Contribute to internal systems improvements and operational best practices
  • Support compliance and vendor onboarding processes

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or related field, MBA a plus
  • 1+ years of finance experience, preferably in a startup environment
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
  • Experience with AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
