QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position: Finance Apprentice
Location: Darwen, India Mills Business Centre, BB3 1AE
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our finance team. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals passionate about building a career in finance. The successful candidate will support the finance team in various accounting tasks, gaining practical experience while studying towards their AAT qualifications from Level 2 through to Level 4.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Support the reconciliation of bank statements and financial records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with data entry and management of accounting software.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
  • Respond to internal and external financial inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Ongoing job shadowing, to enhance accounting knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Contribute to financial audits and the development of internal controls.
  • Support the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
  • As you progress through the AAT levels, you will take on more complex tasks such as budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
