JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised transactional finance professional to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role focuses on managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, as well as being closely involved with the month end management accounts.
The successful applicant will be a key member of a small finance team, working closely with the Director of Finance and other operational heads.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised transactional finance professional to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role focuses on managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, as well as being closely involved with the month end management accounts.
The successful applicant will be a key member of a small finance team, working closely with the Director of Finance and other operational heads.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts Payable (AP):
    Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
    Manage payment runs in line with agreed terms.

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR):

Raise sales invoices and allocate receipts accurately.
Monitor customer accounts and chase outstanding debts in accordance with credit control procedures.

Reconcile aged debtor reports and assist with query resolution.

  • Banking & Reconciliations:

Perform daily bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
Reconcile petty cash and credit card transactions.

Assist in month-end processes including accruals and prepayments’

  • General Ledger:

Post journals for transactional activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the finance system.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Prepare and assist with audit documentation.
Support VAT return preparation and other HMRC filings as required.
