REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • AAT Level 2/3 qualification (or working towards) is desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements
  • Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and journal entries
  • Managing company expenses and petty cash
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Supporting payroll processes as required
  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers
  • Assisting with audits and financial compliance
  • Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks to support the finance team
