Position Title: Finance Assistant
Reporting to: Finance Director
Department: Finance
Working hours: Full Time – Proposed 37.5 hours – Mon-Thu 8am -4.30pm & Friday 8am – 2pm.
Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays) Rising 1 day after each complete year of service (max 33)
Salary: c. £28,000 - £30,000 pa subject to experience and qualification

Mobus is now a leading upholstery fabric supplier, based in Brighouse with circa 40 employees. With a broad customer base of upholstery manufactures, retailers and wholesalers in the UK, Europe, China and the USA. The business is expanding quickly, with exciting and ambitious growth plans.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR…

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our finance team in a newly created Finance Assistant role. This position offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations for our Mobus USA division, while also supporting key month-end processes and analysis work for Mobus UK. Initially focused on core finance tasks and reconciliations, the role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or early-career finance professional with a passion for learning and development. With the right attitude, initiative and drive, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the business. This role is created with the aim of evolving over time into a Management Accountant or similar position, with scope for continuous development to support the Finance Director.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of day to day finance tasks for our USA division, including AP, AR and supporting management accounts process.
  • Perform administrative finance duties including sales ledger analysis, credit checks and setting up new customer accounts.
  • Assist with routine month-end tasks including reconciliations, report preparation and data collation.
  • Contribute to monthly financial and sales analysis including performance tracking, sales reporting and order book review.
  • Undertake general finance and administrative support as required.
    · Experience in a related role, required.
    · Qualification/Training certification preferred but not required.
