FINANCE ASSISTANT

Location: Lustre Products
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Consideration for Part-Time)
Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday to Thursday – Enjoy 3-Day Weekends!)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the Finance team, working closely with Management and various departments. You’ll be the primary point of contact for day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and vendor communications, along with supporting general administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree in a finance-related field preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (especially Acumatica) is an asset, particularly within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous exposure to financial accounting is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
  • Positive team player with a willingness to learn
Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and send customer invoices in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and manage related communications
  • Record customer payments including cheques, EFTs, and credit card transactions
  • Post and verify accounts receivable data in the ERP system
  • Generate and distribute monthly customer account statements
  • Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and customer inquiries
  • Maintain both digital and physical filing systems for financial records
  • Provide support with research, data analysis, and special projects
  • Administer trade apprentice reporting and related programs
  • Perform various day-to-day office administration tasks as needed
