JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently hiring for an Finance Assistant, required to work as part of a small but busy Finance Team based in Hertford. This is a part time, fixed term contract, office based role reporting to the Finance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities - To include:

  • Assist with the issue of Service Charge demands and standing order mandates for each managed development on an annual basis (or more frequent as per the lease/transfer) according to their service charge year end.
  • Assist with the issue Ground Rent demands, where applicable, for each managed development on an annual basis (or more frequent as per the lease/transfer) according to their service charge year end.
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Process cheques received on a daily basis.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all telephone/email and written queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • Liaise with property owners regarding individual service charge accounts, providing statements of account, payment plans and other relevant actions.
  • Issue of Credit Control letters in accordance with standard company procedures
  • Collate information from the Company Financial Database and Land Registry in order to instruct debt collection agency where applicable for non-payers.
  • To update and send income & expenditure reports to Directors.
  • Provide additional cover as required for Purchase Ledger Department.
  • Additional Finance duties as determined by Management

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 Years’ current experience within a Finance Team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

    Pay: Up to £13.50 per hour
