Embark on a journey within MCB Microfinance Limited to be part of its endeavour to provide business loans to micro and small entrepreneurs. We are on the lookout for:  Job vacancy: Finance Assistant   As a Finance Assistant, you will provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance team to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. In this role you will,   * Provide relevant, timely and accurate information to relevant stakeholders, and when required within agreed deadlines to meet all legal requirements; * Assist the Finance and Administration Manager and Finance Supervisor in the handling of the accounting functions by compiling and preparing financial records to meet legal requirements; * Perform the day-to-day processing of transactions to ensure that records are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner; * Maintain Fixed Assets register to ensure proper information are being disclosed in financial statement; * Prepare purchase orders promptly and follow up on same to ensure that relative payment is being done; * Assist in preparation of reports in compliance with relevant Guidelines and within set deadlines.   To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:  * Working effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or styles; * Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems; * Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals; * Communicating the status and completion of assignments.   We are looking for candidates who have a: EITHER •    ACCA Level I OR equivalent professional qualification; •    2 years’ proven accounting experience with local firms and companies OR •    HSC Holder; •    4 years’ proven accounting experience with local firms and companies A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
