Responsibilities

THE FINANCE ASSISTANT ROLE

As we continue to scale at pace and expand globally, we’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team at Send. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to gain hands-on experience within a fast-moving SaaS business.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy across transactions, invoices, and reporting. Working closely with our Finance Manager and CFO, you’ll get exposure to all aspects of finance in a high-growth tech environment-from accounts payable and receivable to month-end processes-while helping us maintain robust financial controls as we scale.
This is an ideal role for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills within a supportive, collaborative team. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A FINANCE ASSISTANT

  • Supporting day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Processing invoices, expenses, and payment runs accurately and on time
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Helping to prepare month-end journals and management accounts
  • Monitoring and updating finance systems to ensure data is accurate and up to date
  • Supporting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments where required
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
  • Managing employee timesheets, ensuring submissions are accurate
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the wider business on finance-related queries
  • Contributing to process improvements to make our finance function more efficient as we scale

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THE FINANCE ASSISTANT ROLE

  • Experience in a finance, accounts, or administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and confidence with numbers
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders across the business
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is desirable, particularly SageIntacct
  • AAT Level 2/3 qualified, or working towards (or equivalent)
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced SaaS/tech scale-up environment
