Job Title: Finance Assistant (Temporary, Part-Time)
Location: Reigate
Pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour
Start: ASAP start until end of October
Hours: Part-time, 12 hours per week over 2 days (excluding Tuesdays)

ESSENTIAL

Our client is looking for an individual with extensive experience within a finance role, ideally within an education setting.

  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and adapt to priorities.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to manage a busy workload.
  • Confident with IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a Finance Assistant, you will support the finance team with both administrative and financial tasks. Your responsibilities will include processing, recording, reconciling, and reporting financial information to ensure smooth and accurate operations.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record financial transactions, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with finance policies, including POs, invoices, and intercompany accounts.
  • Enter and maintain financial data in management systems.
  • Reconcile staff expenses and support aged debtor/creditor reports.
  • Source and order supplies, manage invoices, and arrange returns.
  • Maintain and update the Trust supplier database.
  • Provide documents for audits promptly.
  • Assist with monthly management reporting.
  • Operate the finance helpdesk and respond to queries.
