Responsibilities

As Associate Finance Manager, you’ll partner with Mako and Enabling Technologies (MET) R&D and DRE (Digital, Robotics, & Enabling Technology) teams to manage project spend, drive financial clarity, and support innovation that improves lives. You’ll lead financial modeling and portfolio-level reporting to guide strategic decisions and accelerate growth in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

  • Partner with R&D project teams to manage monthly close activities, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and clear understanding of budget variances.
  • Serve as the finance lead for the DRE business, aligning on project spend and ensuring consistency with partnership agreements.
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning to support strategic growth across MET R&D.
  • Identify and implement improvements in complex financial structures to enhance clarity and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain financial models for new product development, integrating strategic input from upstream marketing.
  • Present financial model summaries to senior leadership, enabling informed investment decisions.
  • Develop portfolio-level reporting that supports prioritization and long-term planning across the innovation pipeline.
  • Collaborate with MET R&D leaders and cross-functional partners to analyze project spend, uncover risks, and drive corrective actions.
