POSITION PURPOSE
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Finance Analyst, the Finance Associate is responsible for effective and transparent utilization of financial resources and integrity of financial services for Global Fund programmes. The Finance Associate analyzes and interprets the financial rules and regulations and provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex financial issues. H/She promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach across the grant Sub-recipients (SRs), contractors and stakeholders and shall coordinate and collaborate with national programmes, UN agencies, NGOs and technical partners, consistent with UNDP rules and regulations and UNDP’s grant agreement with the Global Fund. The Finance Associate works in close collaboration with the PMU and Operations team at UNDP Venezuela in ensuring successful implementation and oversight of Programme resources and performance in financial management., and promotes a collaborative, client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach across grant sub-recipients, contractors and stakeholders and shall coordinate and collaborate with national programmes, UN agencies, NGOs and
technical partners.
UNDP adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, UNDP personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams in order to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.
