Established in 2010, Smart IT are the UK’s only Gold Partner for Odoo ERP software. We transform businesses with innovative ERP solutions delivered by our in-house consultants and developers, helping businesses operate efficiently and achieve competitive advantage.
We currently employ in excess of 70 people across our Kirkham and Rugby offices and are now required to add to our team due to continued growth.
The key purpose of this role is to is to ensure the Odoo implementation supports and enhances the financial operations of Smart IT’s clients. This includes customising and implementing Odoo’s accounting and financial modules to align with the company’s financial processes, improving accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing users with the tools and knowledge to manage financial data effectively.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Expertise in ERP systems and accounting processes.
  • Experience with system integration and data migration.
  • Ability to train and support end-users effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and conflicting targets
  • A “can do” attitude.
  • Understanding/experience of working with Odoo would be preferred but not essential
  • Excellent Customer/Client facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter/ability to work as part of a wider team
  • Previous role in technology companies would be useful but not essential

Responsibilities
  • To act as a lead, looking to support financial processes as well as other financial stakeholder needs across multiple Odoo implementation projects, such as:
  • General ledger
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Fixed assets
  • Financial statements
  • Stock accounting
  • Budgets
  • Consolidation
  • VAT Management
  • Use different BA techniques to work on processes mapping, running workshops etc to implement further improvements for new and existing client Odoo implementations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting through Odoo reporting tools.
  • Support the team in all areas of testing relating to financial processes.
  • Support the Business Development team and undertake client demonstrations in a presale’s environment.
  • Manage data migration from legacy systems and ensure seamless integration with other business platforms.
  • Provide training to internal teams and clients, create documentation, and offer technical support to ensure effective system use.
  • Oversee system upgrades and compliance with financial regulations and assist with audit preparations.
  • Work with the team to ensure that the Smart IT Academy is kept up to date with the latest training videos in relation to accounting and finance modules.
