As a Business Analyst I Finance & Control (Global Supply Chain), you will work in a highly visible, flexible and collaborative team in a fast-paced semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment. The primary role is to support Director, Business Control in driving and measuring the Global Supply Chain’s performance in terms of spend and cost savings achievements. The incumbent would liaise closely with various other stakeholders within the organization.

Responsibilities

YOU WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE SUPPLY CHAIN TEAM TO HELP IDENTIFY COST SAVINGS ACTIVITIES; AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSOLIDATION AND REPORTING ACTIVITIES OF THE CORPORATE WIDE SAVINGS PROGRAM.

This position requires a solution-oriented candidate with a combination of business acumen, knowledge of financial best practices, and an analytical mindset. The candidate must have the ability to draw key findings from a large data set and provide data driven solutions that are organized and simple to understand. The candidate must have the ability to work well with diverse stakeholder groups across the globe to solve business problems; good communication skills are a must.
This is an individual contributor role and reports into Director, Business Control. He/she expects to work very closely with the Business Control team of Global Operations, Finance Shared Services team based in Singapore as well as with various other stakeholders within the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Business Partnering with Commodity and BU Finance teams; supporting these teams with data, analysis, metrics and process creation/improvements.
  • Measure and track monthly Cost Savings and work closely with key stakeholders to close gaps.
  • Identify and support cost-savings opportunities.
  • Prepare forecast (Direct and Indirect Spend) and analyze actual vs forecasted spending
  • Support month-end activities such as purchase price variance review and prepare journal entries.
  • Support cost centre controlling and budgeting process
  • Handle ad-hoc projects such as managing aged open purchase orders, analysing supplier costs.
  • Support in the implementation of new business improvement activities; including low cost sourcing, dual cost analyses to drive cost reductions
  • Work with large data sets and improve reporting using IT rools.
  • Represent finance team in cross functional projects or system implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes to drive scale and efficiency.
  • Contribute to both financial and non-financial projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audits.
  • Any other ad-hoc jobs assigned.
