Finance Transformation & Diagnostics The Opportunity This role is designed for a commercially minded Finance Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments and enjoys getting to the root of business and finance challenges. You’ll lead early-stage diagnostics, shape insight-driven recommendations, and help senior stakeholders understand not just what needs to change — but why it matters. You’ll operate at the intersection of consulting, analysis, and finance transformation, working closely with clients to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across core finance functions and operating models. What You’ll Do Lead High-Impact Business & Finance Diagnostics You’ll independently run structured diagnostics, from discovery through to insight and recommendation. This includes: Asking the right questions to quickly uncover root causes Rapidly understanding client context, priorities, and constraints Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities Interpreting diagnostic outputs and turning analysis into clear, actionable insights Developing credible options appraisals that support informed decision-making You’ll clearly articulate: What the findings mean The consequences of inaction The operational, financial, and organisational impacts for the business Apply Deep Finance Domain Expertise You’ll bring hands-on experience working with Finance functions in consulting or complex enterprise environments, with the ability to diagnose and assess: Record-to-Report (R2R) Order-to-Cash (O2C) Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Tax and Treasury processes You’ll evaluate finance process maturity, controls, data flows, and performance metrics, and understand how finance operating models, governance, and regulatory considerations affect wider business outcomes. Engage, Influence & Challenge Stakeholders You’ll work confidently with stakeholders across multiple levels, including SMEs and middle management, understanding their operational realities and pressures.
