Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus annual bonus
Axon Moore is exclusively partnering alongside a rapidly growing, PE Backed business who are looking to expand an already high calibre finance function with the addition of a Finance Business Partner.
The role is ideally suited to a newly Qualified Accountant with strong Management Accounts experience looking to really grow and develop their commercial and reporting skills.
It would be ideal if individuals have come from a similar professional services background, or an industry with directly applicable skills.
Location: Central Manchester (3 days in the office)

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification Requirements: Qualified ACCA/ CIMA
  • Previous experience in a finance business partnering or management accounting role, ideally within a multi-entity environment.
  • Proficient in navigating and operating accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organisation, communication and presentational skills
  • Confident communicator, relationship-builder and team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop new skills

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the UK.
  • Carry out and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring figures are complete and correct.
  • Provide clear variance analysis against budget and forecast, offering insightful commentary and practical recommendations.
  • Lead finance reviews each quarter with senior stakeholders and local leaders in the UK & Ireland.
  • Offer financial advice and commercial input to non-finance colleagues to support better strategic decision-making.
  • Help teams across the business understand performance drivers and highlight potential risks or opportunities.
  • Take ownership of specific cost areas within the UK P&L.
  • Build close working relationships with budget holders, holding regular discussions to track spending and forecast costs.
  • Promote transparency around discretionary spend and challenge where needed to improve cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the annual budget and regular reforecasts, especially in relation to overheads and central functions.
  • Work alongside operations to ensure financial plans reflect the wider business strategy.
