Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor who provides business partnering solutions to BDI. This role will support the BDI Business Unit Managers and their commercial teams and will support the BDI Country Business Leader. Providing meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, using insights gained to challenge assumptions and inform decision-making. Identifying and elevating opportunities for driving growth (revenue and profitability), identifying opportunities to invest / reduce costs, setting business goals and performing pricing analysis/contract review to support profitable growth.
You will also identify growth opportunities, improve profitability, manage costs, set goals, and analyse pricing for growth.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Understand and clearly communicate key business drivers, market dynamics, and sales performance using advanced tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), QlikSense, Power BI, and Edge2.0.
  • Deliver meaningful insights into sales trends, pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and the impact of macro events (e.g., Brexit, Covid, NHS procurement shifts).
  • Support the BU Leadership Team with clear, data-driven insights to influence strategy, identify risks, and uncover opportunities.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Business Unit leaders.
  • Prepare and upload financial plans into corporate systems (BPC) and deliver impactful presentations to European stakeholders.
  • Assist in long-term planning by conducting scenario analysis, revenue forecasting, and gross profit evaluation.
  • Advise on deal profitability, tender and pricing strategies, and commercial opportunities through robust analytics.
  • Provide financial insight into customer conversions, product switching, and pricing optimisation efforts.
  • Manage rebates, pricing adjustments, and financial accruals in partnership with Sales, Finance, and Pricing teams.
  • Continuously improve financial reporting, systems, and planning processes for efficiency and clarity.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to set realistic and strategic sales targets by territory, aligned to overall BU financial goals.
  • Provide ongoing performance tracking, incentive calculations, and bonus accrual support through SIP processes.
  • Support Inside Sales teams with actionable insights to drive customer engagement and sales efficiency.
