Responsibilities

Success in this post will require the postholder (who will be directly responsible for 2 members of staff) to lead and take ownership of the performance monitoring and reporting processes, provide up to date information at Project, Programme and Portfolio levels to a range of internal and external stakeholders, whilst developing key working relationships at every level of the organisation. The successful postholder will:

  • Lead on the preparation of the monthly board pack aimed at providing up-to-date information at Project, Programme and Portfolio levels to a range of internal and external stakeholders on all CCR activity, as set out in the Annual Business Plan.
  • Support the Head of Finance on all performance monitoring and reporting meetings, establishing key relationships with the Regional Cabinet, UK and Wales Governments and to understand the political environment in which CCR operates, having regard to the core principles of democratic legitimacy.
  • Support the Head of Finance in providing financial advice and support to the CCR Senior Leadership Team and wider team, including input to the financial elements of reports to the Regional Cabinet, its Sub-Committees and Advisory Boards.
  • To continually update the Wider Investment Fund resource allocation position, as business cases are approved and implemented.
  • To produce financial models where necessary to support the Innovation & Investment Framework and prepare key financial reports and information for CCR’s Investment Board.
  • Deputising for the Head of Finance, as required.
  • Supervision and management responsibilities for the Finance Business Partnering (Management Accounts) aspect of the overall CCR Finance Team
