Obton is looking for an experienced and strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team in Milan and support the Asset & Operation Management department in achieving its goals.

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner who is ready to take ownership of financial operations, lead finance-related projects, including tax optimization, and contribute to Obton’s ongoing growth and success.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS OF COMPETENCES AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a strategic finance professional with a proven track record in managing complex financial operations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • MSc or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

    • 5 years of experience working with Project Financing, Financial modelling, investment banking, or a similar role as Finance Business Partner.

    • Experience in renewable energy, project financing, or similar industries is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and ERP systems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across functions.
    Responsibilities

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Finance Business Partner, you will drive financial performance insights, optimize business cases, manage financial reporting, and lead financial project tracks including tax optimization. Working closely with the AOM team, you will provide strategic financial analysis, manage forecasting, and support decision-making processes.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    In this role, your day-to-day tasks will include the following:

    • Financial Performance Insight

      • Present financial analysis and forecasts to support AOM decisions.
    • Oversee monthly revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, and cash flow reporting.
    • Business Case Optimization


      • Lead finance-related projects, including tax and corporate reorganizations.

      • Reporting, Budget, and Model Updates


        • Prepare reports, equity modeling, and lender reporting.

        • Update financial models and budgets.
        • Efficiency and Systems


          • Implement best practices for financial reporting and systems.

          • Support ERP system development and ensure compliance with company policies.
          • Business Insights


            • Ensure alignment of financial activities with business case goals.
