JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, driving performance and shaping decisions. You will provide insightful analysis, challenge assumptions and ensure financial data is used to create real business impact.
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to be part of our Finance Business Partnership Team. You will help to shape the team and wider Finance function as we continue to move away from providing a traditional, back-office service to being a more strategic, business facing and dynamic function. Working alongside senior leaders across the organisation we will provide insight, challenge, and advice to support better decision making and improved performance.
The Planning Inspectorate has a long and proud history in ensuring a fair planning system for England. The work we do has a significant impact on people’s lives, the communities where they live and the economy.
We want our colleagues to be able to work more flexibly and more collaboratively, exploring new and innovative ways to improve the way we provide services.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner who holds full membership with a CCAB body or CIMA. If you’re passionate about solving problems, influencing decision-makers, and building strong collaborative relationships, this could be your next exciting opportunity.
In return, you’ll join a supportive environment where no two days are the same. One day you’ll be helping bring a £1m business case to life with accurate financial insights; the next, you’ll be preparing for the Spending Review, shaping the funding strategy for the next four years.
We’re committed to your development—through training, mentoring, and job shadowing—so you can grow your career while making a difference.
