Responsibilities

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE…

We are looking for an experienced and commercially-focused finance business partner to work with multiple functions and stakeholders to provide finance support to projects. As Allwyn transforms the National Lottery with the aim of doubling payments to good causes by the end of the licence, we will be undertaking multiple transformational projects to help drive this – focusing on revenue growth and operational efficiency. This role will play a key part in costing these projects and working with business teams to provide on-going finance support in operationalising them. The projects are both Capex and Opex in nature, so the ability to understand the financial implications of this on the economic model of the National Lottery and bring this to life for non-finance teams is key to this role.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…

  • Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure projects are robustly costed, and these costs understood by stakeholders and finance, and then tracked and managed effectively within budget envelopes.
  • Develop ongoing forecasts through project lifecycles.
  • Act as a sounding board to project stakeholders, using business acumen and commercial awareness to both counsel and constructively challenge to drive the best outcomes.
  • Communicate appropriately within Finance so that other Finance Business Partners and Finance Management are appropriately consulted or informed about the projects.
  • Provide financial and scenario modelling as assumptions or the environment changes.
  • Develop reporting packs to track actual spend vs budget/forecast, spend to go, risks and opportunities etc.
  • Provide financial support and guidance for queries of an ad-hoc nature.
