QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Qualified Accountant with min 2/3 years post qualified industry experience
  • Multi-Site Retail Experience Desirable but not essential if candidates meet other criteria.
  • Experience in reporting to senior management
  • Demonstrate good communication skills when dealing with key stakeholders (Financial and non-financial)
  • Ability to work with significant volumes of data to investigate and summarise data to present to various Business owners.
  • Ability to work on their own and deliver results to tight deadlines

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall responsibility for control of store staff costs including, store benchmarking and target KPI’s, collaborating with the operational team on payroll hours & rosters, gross margin analysis to staff numbers & productivity analysis
  • Support operational teams to understand KPIs and how to influence them.
  • Business Partnering with Operations to drive performance by analysing key P&L drivers , develop action plans and support area managers understanding and improving their business.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on store performance, creating benchmarking and standard operating model
  • Daily, Weekly & Monthly reporting on store performance to senior management
  • Support operational teams in relation to profit protection and leakage such as discounts, cancelled sales, zero value sales & loyalty.
  • On-going review and assessment of controls , working with Process Integration/IT to implement or enhance KPI outputs.
  • Support Budgeting, Financial Planning process and Rolling Forecasts
  • Project work – review and analyse business cases proposals/projects including post investment review
  • Work with finance colleagues to help optimise the efficiency and insightfulness of reporting
