WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will be passionate about upskilling the business with finance knowledge, and will thrive on being able to solve problems and looking for improvement opportunities, as well as:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and Ideally CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
  • Business partnering experience
  • Excellent communication skills with proven stakeholder management experience and ability to challenge, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel and BI
  • Being resilient, well organised, but also flexible to manage shifting priorities.
  • Being able to support the business with insightful analysis, trends and commentary.
  • Focused on process improvement, innovation and automation

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will collaborate with the business to provide insightful commentary and financial analysis to support decision making. By coaching and supporting business groups with strategic financial advice, information and the tools to build strong financial literacy, you will be fostering valued and trusting relationships. You will be empowering our people with the knowledge to make well informed financial decisions.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a trusted advisor, where you will be the first point of call for your stakeholders, on all management accounting queries.
  • Build and strengthen your relationships by providing key insights, variance and analysis, as well as problem solve finance and budget risks.
  • Coordinating the completion of month-end finance processes and periodic performance reports to Executive, Board, and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and Corporate Plan finance models.
  • Leveraging business systems to optimise processes and streamline procedures.
  • Manage the completion of other reporting obligations including budget updates for Department of Treasury and Finance, Annual Report, and other external reports.
