REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent lived/professional experience
  • Experience in accounts payable or financial administration roles, preferably in a nonprofit or Indigenous organization
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality in financial recordkeeping Equivalency will be considered. Familiarity with First Nations funding streams, ISC reporting, or Indigenous-led service organizations is an asset.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Finance Clerk provides day-to-day support to the Finance team through accounts payable, document verification, data entry, and payment processing tasks. This position is essential in ensuring the financial integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Agency’s accounting operations.
Operating in alignment with organizational policy, collective agreement provisions, and Indigenous values of stewardship, this role supports the efficient use of financial resources that serve the wellbeing of children, families, and communities across Treaty 9 territory.
