KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record in a finance position with the ability to propose, prepare and process accounting journals.
  • Ability to knowledge share (transmit and receive lessons learned) with other colleagues.
  • Flexible approach requiring the ability to support the local Finance team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with invoicing and accounting
  • Financial skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A strong willingness to learn and improve
  • Experience working with Sage Line 50 is a plus
  • Previous experience as a Financial Assistant or similar role is preferred
  • Experience in the Construction Sector ideal but seeking the right person with the right personality
Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a Finance Clerk you will be working closely with our Finance Manager providing support and general Financial administrative duties. We are hiring on attitude and willingness to learn with a view to progression within the Company over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES – ASSISTING WITH

  • Input Service timesheets into Sage from paper/ email submissions
  • Report back to Dept. Managers on missing timesheets weekly to ensure all are submitted by the last day of payroll submission
  • Support the wider finance team as needed including payroll
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Generate and send invoices to clients promptly.
  • Deal with any account/billing queries from clients and account/project managers via email/phone.
  • Managing/updating costs/revenue on projects using project accounting software.
  • Provide ad hoc credit control support.
  • Support in the year-end audit process
