Job Summary: The Senior Finance Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all financial compliance regulations and internal policies. This role involves conducting periodic internal compliance reviews, investigating compliance issues, managing risks. Duties and Responsibilities. Conduct periodic financial internal compliance reviews and investigations to ensure adherence to compliance procedures. Identify and report compliance issues requiring follow-up or further investigation. Assist the Compliance Manager in implementing financial compliance programs and ensuring alignment with new laws and regulations. Support the implementation of compliance programs, new laws, and regulations in finance operations. Assist internal audit teams during compliance reviews by monitoring and assessing compliance systems. Verify that all finance policies and procedures are properly documented, implemented, and communicated throughout the organization. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational and compliance risks. Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities and reporting. Qualifications and Requirements: Professional certification in compliance or finance is a plus (e.g., CMA, ESAA, CIA). 10 years+ of experience in financial compliance, control, or internal/external roles Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex procedures and regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge of industry standards, financial regulations, and reporting procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in record keeping and preparing compliance reports. Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Risk Management, and Compliance Frameworks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in reporting procedures and record-keeping.
Responsibilities
The specialist ensures organizational adherence to all financial compliance regulations and internal policies through periodic internal reviews and investigations. This role also involves assisting the Compliance Manager in implementing compliance programs and aligning operations with new laws and regulations.
