QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES:

We’re looking for someone experienced, reliable, and able to jump in with minimal ramp-up. You should bring:

• Strong working knowledge of BAAN/Infor ERP systems (must-have)
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Proven experience managing month-end and year-end processes
• A CPA designation or equivalent experience
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in a remote setup
• Available to work remotely from anywhere in Canada

This 3-month contract role is focused on supporting the accounting function through a busy year-end and month-end close. You’ll be rolling up your sleeves to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness - and working closely with the team to keep things moving. Key responsibilities include:

• Full cycle accounting with a strong focus on month-end and year-end close
• Preparation of financial statements and related reporting
• Supporting reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and analysis
• Ensuring all deadlines are met for internal and external reporting
• Working with auditors and supporting tax preparation where needed
• Identifying and addressing any gaps as they work through year-end
• Heavy use of BAAN/Infor - must have hands-on experience
• Supporting process clean-up and documentation where possible
