Job Title: IT Lead Finance & Control (Consumer Products Industry) Location: Pune (on site) Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Lead Finance & Control with strong functional and technical understanding of SAP finance control and planning systems to support our global transformation programme. This role bridges business process knowledge and systems expertise — ensuring that data, processes, and solutions are aligned as we deploy a new SAP S/4HANA landscape integrated with other complementary planning and reporting tools. As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining, mapping, and validating detailed data requirements, system integrations, structures and process designs — ensuring systems are configured to meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities Functional and Process Understanding Understand financial control and planning processes, encompassing areas such as GL, AP, AR, AA, Cash Management, Taxation and costing. Understand and document financial master and transactional integrations with ERP and other systems (e.g., trade promotion management, manufacturing, reporting). Understanding of iDocs, BAPI’s and Data services to support the integrations with non-SAP financial systems System and Data Analysis Ensure the configuration of SAP S/4HANA and other new and existing financial solutions enables effective processes. Map data requirements, attributes, and flows across SAP S/4HANA and other finance and none systems. Identify data and other changes required in retained applications to align with the new end2end process and data models. Define data transformation logic and validation rules between ERP other non-ERP systems Work with architects and data teams to implement a simplified (“light”) MDG model, complemented by other data management solutions. Integration and Design Support Support the definition and documentation of end-to-end data and process integrations across SAP, Commercial, Demand/Supply Planning solutions and other connected platforms (e.g. MDG, SAP DataServices, Azure). Work closely with solution architects to ensure data flow consistency and alignment with business rules. Document interface requirements and assist in testing integration scenarios between planning and execution systems. Support in the definition of the SAP Finance and Planning Cutover procedures and drive execution thereof Documentation, Testing & Training Support the production of clear and complete documentation — process flows, functional specs, data mapping sheets, test scripts, and user guides. Support the execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to validate process and system functionality. Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer for business users and other IT colleagues, ensuring understanding of system behaviour and data management responsibilities. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with Finance Functional SME’s, Data migration teams, IT, and data governance teams to ensure alignment on functional requirements. Serve as a bridge between business SMEs and technical teams — translating planning needs into system specifications. Support change management activities related to new system processes and data ownership models. Key Skills and Experience Industry Experience: Demonstrated expertise working within the consumer products industry, with a solid understanding of its unique business processes and challenges. Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end technology stack concepts, including enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SCM etc.), middleware integration, data analytics, and back-end applications. Familiarity with integration to ERP, TPM, CRM, and data feeds. Data Mapping and Modelling: Strong capability to analyse and map data between systems; create entity relationships and document data definitions. Experience with master data objects such as material, customer, location, and planning attributes. Analytical & Documentation Skills: Skilled in translating business processes into system and data requirements, experience writing functional specifications and data mapping documentation. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and traditional project delivery frameworks. Software Tools: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or other similar platforms for requirements gathering, testing, and workflow documentation. Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers, testers, and architects to ensure proper implementation of solutions. Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions to address technical and business pain points. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or similar platforms is highly desirable. 3–5+ years’ experience as a Systems or Business Analyst in SAP Finance modules, data integration, or ERP implementation. Business Analysis or Agile certification (CBAP, CCBA, Scrum Master) advantageous.
