Duties:
Manage accounting operations including AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger.
Lead month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
Ensure regulatory compliance (HST, WSIB, EHT, tax filings) and support audits.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Oversee intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
Support process improvements and ERP system (Vista by Viewpoint) enhancements.
Handle project accounting, job costing, and WIP analysis.
Collaborate with operations and provide financial guidance.
Mentor junior staff and help develop policies and internal controls.
Assets:
CPA/CMA with 7+ years’ experience, ideally in construction accounting.
Strong ASPE, project-based, and multi-entity financial knowledge.
Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Vista by Viewpoint preferred).
Skilled in audit prep, financial reporting, and cross-functional communication.
