Athwal Resourcing are exclusively recruiting an operational hands-on Finance Controller for a Telford subsidiary of a blue-chip multinational manufacturing group. This is an exciting opportunity to take full financial control of the subsidiary, contribute to operational and commercial decision-making, and work closely with the Finance Director and Board to improve financial performance and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Financial control & reporting deliver accurate ledgers and payroll administration; produce the full monthly management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis) and board commentary.
  • Group control & reporting deliver suite of monthly reporting to Group headquarters in Europe.
  • Operational & commercial insight maintain KPI dashboards, sales & margin profitability analysis by customer/product group/product, and present performance drivers to the senior leadership team.
  • Costing & stock own standard costing, WIP and stock management; analyse labour, material and overhead variances; ensure robust product-cost data and advise on new-product quotations.
  • Budgeting, forecasting & cash lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts and weekly cash-flow modelling; manage working capital across a multi-currency export environment.
  • Process & systems improvement streamline processes, strengthen the control environment, champion continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & external liaison manage year-end statutory accounts, audits, VAT/Intrastat, company-secretarial matters and banking relationships.
  • Leadership develop and mentor a small team of finance clerks and an accounts assistant, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Ad-hoc initiatives partner directors on strategic, operational and commercial projects that enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Microsoft Dynamics Implementation play key project role in ERP system changeover from SAPB1 in line with Group system platform changes
