OVERVIEW:

The Finance Controller (North America) leads the accounting team and is directly responsible for general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, escrow accounting, audit preparation, and the implementation of best practices and internal controls.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA) is strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–4 years in a senior-level role (e.g., Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Senior Manager)
• Experience in a law firm preferred, but not required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficiency in cloud based financial systems, such as Elite 3E and ChromeRiver
• Advanced technical skills with the ability to apply efficient data retrieval and analysis to large data sets.
