JOB PURPOSE: Local Finance Controller Lead ensures that the market remains fully compliant with all reporting, statutory and regulatory finance requirements throughout the ERP deployment. It acts as the key authority for evaluating global design decisions against local financial obligations, safeguarding financial accuracy and compliance. The position provides a unique opportunity to deepen expertise in controllership, statutory and reporting frameworks, and global ERP transformation while working closely with global, wave, and local finance teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides expert guidance on local statutory and regulatory, financial reporting requirements impacting key Finance processes (e.g., revenue recognition, tax, accounts receivable). Acts as the single point of contact for requesting and coordinating finance‑related localization, data migration needs and routes all exceptions to the global design team. Coordinates with local SMEs to ensure all local finance compliance requirements are captured and aligned with global design. Taking full ownership of UAT testing for local statutory, financial reporting and controllership processes, supports issue resolution during Hypercare and data migration. Aligns closely with the Country Finance team on statutory and financial reporting decisions. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with strong knowledge of local statutory and regulatory, financial reporting finance frameworks (e.g., revenue recognition, tax compliance, accounts receivable/payable). Ability to assess global fit‑to‑standard design decisions and identify required statutory, reporting or compliance‑driven exceptions. Proven capability to coordinate and consolidate inputs from Category Finance and other local finance SMEs. Strong understanding of local financial controls, compliance processes, and regulatory obligations. Experience supporting UAT execution for statutory, reporting and controllership scenarios. Ability to support Hypercare by resolving user issues and escalating critical compliance‑related incidents. Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills for engaging with global design teams and Wave Finance teams. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills with high attention to detail. Familiarity with SAP and local finance systems . Experience in finance transformation or ERP deployment environments. SKILLS, EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirements: Qualified accountant or equivalent professional experience with deep understanding of local statutory and regulatory finance frameworks (revenue recognition, tax compliance, accounts receivable/payable). Ability to evaluate global fit‑to‑standard design against statutory, reporting requirements and identify compliance‑driven localisation needs. Experience consolidating inputs from Category Finance and other finance SMEs to ensure all compliance requirements are accurately represented. Strong analytical capability to interpret and validate statutory, reporting regulatory and financial process impacts. Clear and effective communication skills for engaging with global design teams and local stakeholders. English proficiency to collaborate effectively in a global deployment environment. Preferred Requirements: Prior experience in finance transformation, ERP deployment or process harmonisation projects. Experience supporting UAT execution, cutover readiness, and Hypercare issue resolution. Knowledge of Unilever finance applications or similar global finance systems.
