Hometown Health Center (HHC) is growing—and we’re seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Finance Coordinator to join our team! This vital role supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees key financial operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.   As we prepare to open our state-of-the-art new facility later this year, employees will benefit from onsite daycare and access to a wellness center featuring a gym, indoor walking track, and courts—part of our commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.   Key Responsibilities * Prepare and post standard and adjusting journal entries * Manage daily cash receipts and reconcile bank statements * Process accounts payable and receivable in accordance with internal policies * Coordinate bi-weekly payroll processing and vendor check runs * Support month-end close, financial reporting, and external audits * Assist in annual budget development and organizational reporting * Maintain accurate fiscal files, vendor records, and internal documentation * Identify opportunities to streamline financial systems and workflows * Provide administrative and clerical finance support as needed   Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping * Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) * Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software * High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills * Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines * Comfortable working with confidential information and cross-functional teams   Why Join HHC? * Mission-driven FQHC improving the health of rural Maine communities * Stable, team-oriented environment with room to grow * Brand new facility with onsite wellness center and daycare * Leadership that values your voice and contributions * Competitive salary and benefits package   Ready to join a workplace where your skills make a difference?
