We are seeking a Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Roberts/Smart Centre. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in finance or accounting roles is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepares and enters the monthly General Ledger entries.
  2. Prepares Ministry in-year reporting.
  3. Identifying and implementing process.
  4. Reviews petty cash, invoices and travel claims to be paid. Assures that procedures for approval of expenditures are followed and that required documentation is attached to invoices and claims.
  5. Reviews invoices for guardians and agencies and issues other invoices as required. Records receipt of payments on account receivable files.
  6. Prepare detailed financial reports for the Director of Finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the presentation of financial data, trends, and insights to support informed decision-making. Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and assisting with external audit.
  7. Is responsible for supporting the Centre’s Health and Safety Policy by maintaining appropriate health and safety standards, by working safely, by reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions immediately and by complying with all relevant legislation and Centre procedures.
  8. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Finance.
