FINANCE COORDINATOR

Training Plus is a growing health and safety training provider throughout the UK, with an excellent reputation across quality and service. We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Coordinator to join our team at our Irvine HQ.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Coordinator will be maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers for Training Plus and assist in other adhoc finance tasks. The finance department is a small but dynamic team delivering all finance functions for the business with an opportunity to get involved in other areas of our fast-paced business. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop in a finance role as this will provide well rounded finance experience and is ideal for starting a career in industry.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Adding and maintaining the sales and purchase ledger to ensure the systems are up to date.
· Daily bank reconciliations.
· Maintaining accurate records of ledger activity.
· Taking and recording card payments.
· Logging, reporting and releasing disputed invoices in a timely manner. Liaising with stakeholders to obtain relevant information to support disputed invoices and communicating the outcome.
· Raising purchase orders.
· Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
· Assisting the teams with admin tasks in our sister company Access Plus to ensure accurate reporting.
· Perform any ad hoc duties to assist the team as and when required to by the Financial Controller.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Working knowledge of Sage packages is preferred.
· Proficient in the practical use of the Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Excellent team worker.
· Problem solver.
This is a permanent role Monday to Friday based in Irvine.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
