Description The Village of Lemont is seeking a detail-oriented, and collaborative Finance Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this key front-line role, you’ll assist residents and staff, process payments, and support financial and administrative operations within the Finance Department. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset who excels in a customer-facing role and values providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service at the front desk, by phone, and via email Process utility payments, permits, licenses, and other financial transactions Assist with utility billing, account updates, and invoice distribution Perform clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, and recordkeeping Support other departments with permits, documentation, and finance-related inquiries Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/training preferred) 1–3 years of experience in customer service, finance, or administrative roles Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn financial systems Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a professional and approachable demeanor Benefits include: Starting Salary: $23.00+/hour DOQ Schedule: 27.5 hours per week (part-time), Shift time TBD Paid Time Off (PTO) Eligible Paid Village Holidays IMRF Pension Eligible Become part of a supportive municipal team where your contributions make a real impact on the community!
