For more details visit: https://www.flytradewind.com/ About the Candidate / Role Tradewind Aviation is currently seeking a Finance Data Analyst to support our dynamic Finance team in our Middlebury, Connecticut headquarters by strengthening the integrity, structure, and usability of financial and operational data while delivering meaningful financial insights. This role will play a critical part in building and maintaining a “single source of truth” across multiple systems, enabling more accurate reporting, forecasting, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine strong data management capabilities with a solid foundation in financial analysis. They will be responsible not only for ensuring data accuracy and accessibility, but also for translating that data into actionable insights through variance analysis, performance tracking, and ad hoc financial modeling. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting and Business stakeholders to improve reporting processes, enhance visibility into key drivers, and support strategic decision-making. Essential Functions Data Management & Integrity Own and maintain financial and operational datasets across multiple systems Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data used in reporting and planning Reconcile data across platforms; Identify and resolve data discrepancies proactively Data Infrastructure & Reporting Build and maintain scalable datasets for reporting and analysis Improve data accessibility for the finance team and business stakeholders Partner with internal teams to streamline data flows and reduce manual processes Support development of dashboards and reporting tools Build and maintain consolidated datasets across multiple entities ensuring accurate rollups and alignment with financial reporting requirements FP&A Support Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Redesign and manage weekly KPI reporting, ensuring metrics are accurate and aligned with business objectives Support monthly/quarterly reporting packages Perform ad hoc business analyses and translate data into actionable insights for leadership Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field Minimum 3+ years of experience in finance, analytics, or data-related role Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting processes Understanding of financial statements and core FP&A concepts Advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, lookups, pivot tables) Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience a plus) Experience with SQL or querying data from databases Exposure to BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Led by intellectual curiosity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy and consistency Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, use of computers and office equipment Ability to lift / push or pull, greater than or equal to 15 lbs. Ability to work in confined spaces.
