Our purpose is to be the catalyst for excellence in how Finance uses data and AI. By collaborating closely with controlling, accounting, internal controls, and IT, we ensure Finance operates with a trusted data foundation that delivers actionable insights leading to best-in-class financial decisions at Uniper. To help us achieve our mission, our Data Foundation & Enablement group is looking for a Data Engineer to take a role in shaping the backbone of Finance data.   Role Description   The Data Engineer in Finance Information Excellence – Data Foundation & Enablement is responsible for mapping, developing, and operationalizing the Finance data structures that leverage and increase the cross-operability of our data. This role supports the Senior Data Engineer in building our data foundation and drive enablement by ensuring data quality, accessibility, and readiness so that processing takes place in our Data Science practice as well as in our teams in accounting, controlling, and internal controls.   Key Responsibilities   Support the mapping of data needs and the current data landscape across all finance areas Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformation processes for finance data Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and validation mechanisms Assist in documenting data models, definitions, and lineage for finance Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with data solutions Provide technical input to data governance processes and enable finance data literacy Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance data platforms and processes     Your profile Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 3–5 years of experience as a data engineer, BI developer, or similar role Proficiency in SQL, data integration tools, ETL/ELT, and cloud-based data platforms Understanding of finance processes and data (e.g., general ledger, consolidation, controls) is a strong advantage Hands-on experience with data quality monitoring and metadata/documentation Ability to work in Agile teams and collaborate closely with stakeholders     Your benefits   At Uniper, we not only reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension and health related benefits for their hard work and dedication to shaping the future energy transition.
