Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Finance Director for a diverse, owner managed business in mid -Devon.
This is a key role for the organisation where you will report to the board and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, providing crucial advice and guidance.
Key duties will include:
· Oversee financial transactions, including managing bank statements, investments, and cash flow.
· Offer financial advice and insights, providing performance reports on investments, and collaborate with external bodies.
· Provide investment recommendations and financial proposals.
· Assess existing financial systems and implement necessary improvements to enhance efficiency.
· Act as the point of contact for auditors, financial institutions, and legal advisors.
· Tax compliance, including compliance with MTD. Liaison with external accountants as required.
· Company secretarial duties.
· Maintain effective and empathetic communication with shareholders, suppliers and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a broad range of accounting experience and understanding of basic tax. You will be an excellent people-person with strong emotional intelligence, providing professional and confidential advice across a variety of situations.
