Job Type: Finance Director
Location: Southeast Michigan (Onsite)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, regular business hours
Hours: Full-time, exempt
Compensation: Competitive, targeting $130K+ depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
• Strong knowledge of government finance, compliance, and reporting standards (GASB)
• Proven leadership skills with experience supervising and developing staff
• Exceptional communication skills, with ability to present financials to leadership/boards

• Oversee all aspects of fiscal management including accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GASB/state regulations
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Provide financial insights and presentations to leadership and the board
• Manage and modernize processes, systems, and internal controls; support ERP migration and process improvements
• Develop and mentor a small finance team, fostering accountability and professional growth
