As Finance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping Kara Healthcare’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management, and supporting key business decisions through data-driven insights. REQUIREMENTS

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Director role, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a growing and evolving business
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Extensive experience in corporate finance, fiscal management, and financial services.
  • Proficiency in IAS, ASC 606, Xero, risk management techniques, and governmental accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and account reconciliation effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing and interpretation for various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with financial software systems that enhance efficiency in bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and investment management within a non-profit or governmental context.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals

  • Supervise treasury management activities, ensuring effective investment management and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Direct cost accounting efforts, including cost control measures and profit & loss analysis to optimise financial performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives, providing insights on financial concepts that impact business development.
  • Ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable processes, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices through effective leadership and mentorship of finance team members.
