Our client is a small global fashion label. The Finance Director is the first in charge within their small finance team, with overall responsibility for the financial management, commercial finance, planning, governance and financial performance of the business.

Operating as the key financial adviser to the CEO and leadership team, the Finance Director will provide the financial leadership and strategic commercial insight required to support the continued growth and evolution of the group

  • Lead the overall finance function for the group, acting as a trusted financial adviser to the CEO, leadership team and Board.
  • Oversee financial governance, controls, reporting, audit, taxation, compliance, banking, treasury, funding and financial systems.
  • Own month-end/year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term financial planning.
  • Lead cash flow, liquidity and working capital management, including inventory, receivables, payables and funding requirements.
  • Provide commercially focused financial analysis and insight across retail, eCommerce, wholesale, international markets, stores and product categories.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandise, Planning, Retail and eCommerce teams to drive revenue, margin, profitability and cash performance.
  • Oversee inventory investment, stock productivity, margins, markdowns, buying decisions and open-to-buy planning.
  • Provide financial leadership for domestic and international wholesale, including customer profitability, market expansion and commercial risk.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and deliver the strategy, assessing growth opportunities, investments, returns and financial trade-offs.
  • Prepare clear, commercially relevant reporting and insights for the CEO, shareholders and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop and mentor the finance team while improving processes, systems, automation and financial capability across the broader business.
