Job Title: Director of Finance

Our client is a successful, established and growing group of 2 companies servicing a dynamic, niche industry. Reporting to the President, you will be a part of the Senior Leadership team and play a crucial role in the management of the organization’s finances.
This is a dream opportunity for that Finance Manager who is ready for that next step up and play a pivotal role in strategic financial management decisions for the group of companies.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements
• Manage and supervise a team of 3
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain internal control systems and financial procedures
• Monitor company cash flow and manage treasury functions
• Support financial planning, modeling, and scenario analysis
• Coordinate and support year-end audits and tax filings
• Evaluate and improve financial processes, tools, and systems
• Prepare internal reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
• Identify opportunities for cost containment, risk management, and operational efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA designation is required
• Minimum 8 years of progressive financial experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience with Canadian GAAP or ASPE, tax regulations, and audit standards.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Prior financial operations experience in a multi-entity mid size business is preferred
• Exception command of the English language and having a knack for speaking finance to non-finance leaders in other areas of the business.
