The Opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity to be the Finance Director for one of Australia's leading real estate fund managers. The firm has an excellent reputation and enviable track record of success.

This is a newly created role that will report into a high calibre CFO. This is a genuine 2IC to CFO with a clear succession path.

The Challenge

A career defining role for a finance executive who is energised to lead a funds management finance team. The role will be challenging and exciting as you are overseeing the finance function while also being directly involved in commercial matters and providing support to the executives to assist in strategic decision making.

  • Working with the executive team, your responsibilities will include:Continue to develop, review and maintain the preparation of timely financial and management reports for the firm
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on superior financial analysis and forecasts
  • Oversee the audit processes and assist the team with financial accounts preparation as required
  • Build, maintain and implement effective financial polices, procedures and controls performance framework for the firm
  • Financial risk management and the development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Support the investment team and advisors on transactions and divestments
  • Partner closely with the Taxation Manager to develop structuring strategies and compliance with regulations
  • Take a lead role in driving change and improvements in systems and processes throughout the firm

It is a given that you will be an experienced finance executive with a proven financial controls background in financial services/funds management. You will be excited by the opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding progressive and contemporary funds management firm with a clear focus on sustainable and innovative investment strategies.

  • Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:Ideally, you are a chartered accountant and started your career with PwC, KPMG, Deloitte or EY. You have since been working in a funds management or private equity firm
