Description
The Finance Executive (Accounts Payable) is responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness in processing supplier invoices and payments, minimizing payment errors and late fees, maintaining strong vendor relationships to support uninterrupted supply, and contributing to efficient cash flow management and reliable financial reporting through robust controls and reconciliations. Process-wise Responsibility Overview  * Verify daily invoice batches for accuracy and compliance with local statutory policies.  * After verification, upload the batch file from BSS to PSAP for transmission.  * Once the batch syncs in PSAP, correctly attach the MIH image to each transaction and run the MIH query to ensure no pending items remain.  * Maintain accurate and timely creation or modification of vendor records.  * Perform vendor reconciliations; flag and resolve any unpaid or unrecorded dues, ensuring costs are correctly reflected in the AP ledger.  * Prepare manual payments or cheques as required and record them promptly in PSAP.  * Execute weekly EFT runs, submit for review, and off hold payments.  * Respond to vendor queries promptly, follow up regularly, and maintain strong relationships.  * Ensure compliance with WHT and VRC statutory policies across all AP processes.  * Process offshore payments for overseas vendors, complete TT forms, share with the bank, and follow up to confirm timely remittance.  * Archive all payment records in the designated drive and storage container, adhering to the two-year retention policy from the transaction date.  * Maintain and share accruals (BSS, standard tracker, WHT, VRC) with relevant departments.  * Prepare and share recycle vouchers and MIH commentary during month-end closing.  * Post and reconcile OFB FX gains and losses monthly.  * Reconcile all statutory and utility payments to prevent delays and ensure compliance with regulations.  * Fully reconcile intercompany transactions and record them in the AP ledger, including payroll-related statutory entries.  * Match AP payments with bank reconciliations and ensure accurate posting in the AP ledger.  * Complete all weekly and monthly tasks as per the checklist and review for accuracy.  * Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned to Accounts Payable as required    OUR BENEFITS: * Exclusive staff discounts on hotel accommodation and food & beverage across all Marriott International properties for you, your family, and friends. * Career growth and professional development through Marriott’s global learning and training programs. * Access to the Employee Assistance Program supporting physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. * Employment with a globally recognized hospitality brand committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. * Duty meals provided. * Associate transportation provided. * Prorated unused sick leave paid out at year‑end Qualifications & Competencies Required: Education: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Diploma in Accounting Experience: * Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role * Prior experience in the tourism industry will be an added advantage     Eligible for individuals with working rights in Fiji.
