The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager at GTG Peterbilt is responsible for overseeing the sale and administration of finance and insurance products for customers purchasing heavy-duty trucks. This role involves securing financing, presenting protection products, and ensuring a seamless and compliant transaction process. The F&I Manager partners closely with the sales team to enhance the customer experience, maximize profitability, and maintain strict adherence to all regulatory requirements. Requirements Facilitate customer financing through banks, credit unions, and dealership lending partners. Present financing options and guide customers through the approval and closing process. Offer and sell F&I products including extended warranties, service contracts, GAP coverage, and other protection plans. Clearly communicate product features, benefits, and coverage to support informed customer decisions. Ensure all transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and vendor policies. Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all deals, including loan agreements, title work, and product contracts. Collaborate with the sales team to support deal structuring, closing, and a smooth handoff into F&I. Maximize dealership profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and trust. Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, insurance providers, and other financial partners. Negotiate competitive rates and terms to deliver strong financing solutions. Resolve customer questions or concerns related to financing, warranties, and protection products. Monitor performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to management. Stay current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and product offerings. Train and support sales staff in effectively introducing F&I products. Qualifications Proven experience as an F&I Manager or in dealership finance (heavy-duty truck experience preferred). Strong understanding of dealership operations and F&I product offerings. Skills Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing abilities. Strong financial acumen and attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. F&I certifications (e.g., AFIP) are a plus. Technical Skills Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and finance software. Familiarity with credit applications, finance tools, and compliance documentation. Competencies Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities. Work Environment This role operates in a professional dealership and office environment.
