Finance Intern – Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC Location: Houston, TX Department: Finance & Accounting Employment Type: Internship (Full-Time) Duration: June 1st – Aug 13th 2026 Summary: Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position is designed for students or recent graduates who are eager to develop their financial acumen, analytical skills, and business understanding within a global chemical company. The Finance Intern will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, assisting with management reporting, and contributing to financial planning and analysis activities. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to experience the intersection of corporate finance, accounting, and business strategy in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: * Financial Reporting & Analysis * Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements. * Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy across general ledger accounts. * Compile and interpret financial data to support management decision-making. * Budgeting & Forecasting * Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. * Collect and analyze operating and capital expenditure data from various departments. * Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow. * Accounting Operations * Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, invoice tracking, and payment reconciliations. * Participate in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities. * Support compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls. * Data Analysis & Research * Conduct research on industry benchmarks, market trends, and competitor performance. * Identify potential areas of cost reduction and process improvement. * Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed. * Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure financial insights align with company goals. * Present findings and reports to senior team members in a clear, structured manner. Qualifications: * Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. * Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. * Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
