Finance Intern . The Finance Intern at East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) will play a crucial role in supporting various financial activities within the organization. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis in the context of a major infrastructure project. . Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in collecting information for preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by gathering data and preparing budget documents. Assist in the development of financial forecasts and variance analysis. Collaborate with team members to ensure budget adherence. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Aid in processing invoices and verifying accuracy of expenses. Contribute to the reconciliation of financial transactions. Financial Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls. Financial Data Management: Help maintain organized financial records and documentation. Assist in data entry and maintenance of financial databases. Support the finance team in filing and archiving. Key requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or recent graduate from recognized University. Must provide Introduction letter from university and copy of student I.D. Must provide a partial transcript / testimonial showing current academic scores with a minimum of an upper-second degree. Must be available full-time for the duration of the internship period. Must write and submit an internship application letter. . Context and environment The Finance Intern will be based in the EACOP Office. The Finance Intern will report to the Chief Accountant of EACOP. He/she will interact with Project teams and Construction Contractor teams on a continuous basis with the guidance of the Finance Team. He/She is responsible for ensuring and maintaining good relationships between the EACOP and all its stakeholders and the local community.
