Essential Job Functions: Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties Learning to work as part of the team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support company’s accounting and finance office operations Learning about and utilizing the company ERP system Assisting with financial reporting via data entry & variance analysis Working with various departments across the organization to improve & maintain capital expenditure tracking Facilitating cost savings by helping team understand the cost of asset acquisition vs. leasing Assisting with profit modeling by helping identify the variable costs of the business Various research projects and other duties as assigned by manager A summer intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department. Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges Communication abilities with aptitude in problem solving Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to write business correspondence using correct grammar and spelling Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to interact effectively with all levels and continue to maintain a high level of objectivity and independence Self-starter Physical Demands The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site. Noise level: Normal office, manufacturing and construction noises.
